Collections vs. Folders? by aether718
Okay, so I'm browsing the forums, and I'm so very confused.
I understand that in order to reduce double-posting and giving artist credit, this is what the Collections tab is used for. But not everyone I get art from is here, and I credit each one that I get.
So with that in mind, I have set up folders more for each character, instead of my own works, since I am no artist and solely commission pieces.
Should I work with Collections, or should I do what I've been doing on FA and posting pieces and giving credit where it's due?

That was my intention with the folders, because I have different versions of my characters, and I felt being able to organize them would be best. I ALWAYS credit the artists that have worked for me, and if any wanted me to use the Collections feature instead, I invite them to notify me which piece and go through the process. :)

Sounds good~! You're always clear with your credit, and I think using Collections when you're asked to do so would be plenty fair.

You should do what you have been doing and simply post pictures with credit, especially since not everyone you've commissioned is on Weasyl. While the Collections feature is encouraged, it's by no means required. Also, Collections don't have the option of creating folders and the like, so simply uploading pieces in your gallery would end up being MUCH more organized, in my opinion. Especially with how much work you've commissioned!
