15/11/13 - 11/15/13

It's been a little while since I've done a post on my page so I wanted to write a journal entry of what I hope to complete and also motivate myself to do so. My Writing has gotten a little sloppy over the last few day's so don't expect literary genius. Let's get started.

First topic is about characters. I haven't fully decided on a direction of character(s) just yet, I'm moving a way from what I deem as the non original such as Wolf, Fox, Feline etc., I'm instead tasking myself to design a hybrid or something of that nature. One thing that's been holding me back, and more than likely some who would read this one time or another is drawing ability. I've gotten into the habit of regularly drawing figures and "Real" life models to better understand where I'm going wrong. it's early day's and still I've been making the errors of past, but with some patience I should progressively improve over time. I suggest anyone to do the same.

Second topic is about things going on. I've recently gone into the swing of going back to Uni for my second term, I hope to include some concept sketches I've completed during the time onto Weasyl, one project I'm working on is narrative for games. I've created a whole world to play around with, including it's inhabitants, I find that to better visualize the story I must draw. hence, I have come to the conclusion of posting some of these sketches up here and flag them up for crit, as I can get your feedback for any improvements or alterations. An idea that might give me a better understanding of perception and build up a portfolio of work up on the site.

Third and final, hopes. As I've mentioned in previous journals I've always wanted to go to a convention. I always find them an interesting topic and without doubt get a creative vibe from seeing photo's and journals posted prior and post event. The event nearest me is Confuzzled. It's going to be a long stretch to travel up I understand, both time and date. I would love to attend but It I must get everything in order to do so. Dates, leave, travel and reason all have to be accounted for, though now that's in Birmingham it's going to be easier than ever to do so. Another gripe I have is reason, me just going off to the event is no easy task, the 3rd semester or "Final Project" is going to be strange if I leave work colleges for a Furry convention for a number of day's. They would not be happy, especially I know a few who have strong opinions about it all. But it's not my job alone to say otherwise, it's what they find that leads them onto discovery, if I intervene it's only going to push things in the wrong direction. Enough of that, the whole meaning of the topic is that I hope to attend either this convention or another down the road.
