An artists thoughts by FenrisTheFox

This is something that have been on my mind for a while and that I thought I wanted to share with you people.

Lately more and more people have been asking if I take requests, and even if I do feel kinda flattered that people like the things I make.

It really bothers me when they get upset and angry when I say no to requests..

People don't seem to understand that it takes time and energy to make a picture, that it is a craft that I put my heart into.

I feel people take drawing far to lightly these days, like I just draw on a paper and BAM! There is a drawing..

When I draw I really put my everything into my pictures, and it takes many steps before I reach the final product.

For example when I draw I go through these steps:

*Thinking up an idea

*Sketching

*Linearting

*Coloring (And I color every different color on separate layers so I can edit better)

*Shading

*Highlighting

*Final touches (Like shine and glow)

Sometimes I take even more steps to make it even more detailed and so on.

I just wish people would understand this is like any other craft and it takes time.

And to be fair, I understand people wanting free art, I mean I love to recive pictures from others.

But I wish people would take drawing more seriously, and that more people would understand the artist better.

I don't mean to sound mean, but please people.. think about this, commission the artist instead if you want art from them.

It makes it better for everyone, believe me.

The artist gets paid for his/her work, and you get a picture from the artist as you wanted. I think that sounds really fair!

I am sorry if this sounds bad I just wanted to tell people about this, and my thoughts.

Thank you for reading this~
