Clear! Like mud! by FriskyWoods

Yes, nothing says clarity like an update that's closed to comments. Oh, and this part is rich.

"14. I deleted my gallery too hastily!
We are really sorry to hear that and we don’t want to see you go."

I had an active FurAffinity gallery for fifteen years. It took me a day to decide to tear it all down. It was a rash decision, but one I ultimately don't regret. After all, I can't actually USE FurAffinity when I've got three suspensions and the fourth could come at any moment from FA's capricious staff. Why keep anything there? They could suspend me again (for the final time) even if I never post another drawing again... they'll just pick from the thousand plus pictures I'd already posted. You can't do that NOW, though, can you?

If you didn't want to see me go, you shouldn't have given me three dubious suspensions, or said "Whoops! Well, I didn't have anything to do with it!" when I expressed concerns about getting those suspensions.

However, it is satisfying to hear there's enough people leaving FA for the moderators to express concern about it. Could this actually be the breaking point, where people stop putting up with Dragoneer's corruption and false promises, and migrate elsewhere?

"We do not have bots on Fur Affinity. Each report, dispute, and appeal is handled by real people. Sometimes, mistakes may happen, but we will work with you to correct any errors made on our part."

This is part of the problem. They're not bots. Those "real people" are real biased against certain segments of the furry population, particularly babyfurs. No errors have been made. Every suspension doled out has a purpose (to silence and marginalize us). It's only when those suspensions are particularly egregious (and the victim particularly popular) that the moderators backpedal.

"Thank you for your patience and giving us the opportunity to provide clarification. We will continue to monitor all feedback we receive..."

How? The journal post is locked. (The "how" is rhetorical, of course. They don't WANT feedback. They put the complaint box on the top of Mount Everest, surrounded by hungry wolves.)

FurAffinity's journal is a bill of false promises, meant to pacify the rubes while Dragoneer and the FA administration continue to exploit them. His fans will buy this BS hook, line, and sinker. The rest of us know better.

By the way, since he's such an upright and noble defender of children, surely Dragoneer would not object to a search of his personal computers by the FBI, right? You know, as a show of good faith to the other users. Really put your money where your mouth is. Show us how dedicated you are to the cause. (Or not.)

So what art sites are you on now? Here, and where else?

Right now? Not much. I have galleries on DeviantArt and InkBunny, but they're both inactive.

I'll be honest with you, a lot of the exuberance for art has been sucked out of me due to recent events. The death of Miiverse, friends I trusted who disappointed me, getting edge-banned from FurAffinity, depression and general discontent with furry art, etc. etc. Maybe it'll blow over soon, but it's been like, seven months since I've posted anything. I want to be a part of furry... I just don't want to actually put any effort into it.
