How has your new year been going, all? Here.......well, it's really just a bit "meh" so far. It does feel nice to finally be caught up on my backlog of letters and e-mails. You would think I would be spending all my sudden free time writing or drawing........but for some reason, it doesn't seem to be going so easily right now. I think, mostly, it's "winter blues" settling in--since we do now have the "it's really often VERY COLD" cold weather and bouts of snow and/or ice.

I'm not much of a fan of winter. Mostly because it traps me indoors. Yeah, sure, I can do lots of things indoors--including the aforementioned writing and drawing--but for some reason, from the mental stability standpoint, if I'm trapped indoors and DON'T have the option to go outside, it mostly makes me mopey and I don't wanna do anything. shrug I also like sunlight...........and clear, sunny skies have been fewer and far in between right now. Even if it's cold, I would like to see some sunshine to help boost my mood a little bit.

Let's hope winter will pass quickly this year.......I'm looking forward to being able to go outdoors and walk places and stuff again--preferably with sunlight. :)

So, I've been trying to work out what I'll be doing for 2022. We're still dealing with a pandemic. If you are in the U.S. and have not heard, yet, you can get 4 free COVID-19 rapid-testing kits from the government, simply by signing up at the website (USPS will mail them to you). The government is also going to offer people free KN95 masks soon, too--this is supposedly going to be available through pharmacies and community centers, so you may need to find out how these will be distributed in your area. The ongoing issue of the pandemic has been wearing on people everywhere--and, yes, we ALL want to be done with it........but we never will be "done" with it if some other people who are "anti-" (fill in your blank there with a handful of terms) wouldn't at least try to help out by following rules and guidelines. This year, TFCon will supposedly be back in Chicago and I would VERY MUCH LOVE TO GO........but I am still wary of conventions right now--I had actually considered going to the spring TFCon and travel, but we have many variants now, airline travel is not safe, even if safety is considered at conventions themselves. We'll see how things go in the next few months.

If I do get to go to TFCon in Chicago in November, then (as a side project) I am trying to put together a small fanbook to possibly exchange with people whom I may meet at the convention. I'm debating on whether to create a new short story or merely take an excerpt or two from existing Transformers fan-fiction of mine for the small fanbook. I think I will probably do a "mature" one and a "general" one--so that I can swap with more variety of people.

That having been said, I do have TF fan-fic writing projects lined up for this year. If you want to read stuff of mine, you are welcome to visit my Archive of Our Own page--I have fan-fics for almost all categories (though, yes, mature/explicit is more wanted by my fanbase), but I don't believe in PWP, so even my "porn" has definite "plot" to it. LAUGHS I have also uploaded my one single favorite "Sonic the Hedgehog" fan-fic, too, but it is mostly Transformers.

I am also evaluating doing another year of Pony Parade in April--but I'm working on considering a theme for the pieces this year--or doing one large piece. I still have about one more month to consider my options before settling in and deciding what to do. If you have a MLP OC--look forward to this........it's always an opportunity to get a free piece of art from me. :)

This year, I am also working on revamping and updating a bit on my open world of the Pokemon University setting--where many of my Pokemon OC characters are set in. I have one friend of mine who has an AU version of their character set in this world, too. The world itself is open for all and as I've developed out more of the school in the past couple of years, I'm going to find a way to make materials available for anyone to use, if they'd like to create or add their own OCs into the Pokemon University world of mine. I can do some worldbuilding via stuff on Toyhou.se, plus I believe I could create a specific folder here at this Weasyl gallery of mine, for people to peruse and offer free materials from the universe to use--such as the school uniforms and the class/grade/teacher data.

As I wrap this up, I'd like to hear from you guys what you'd like to see me do/post or talk about this year in 2022. And here is a list of upcoming works that I shall share with you--to look forward from me, beyond anything else you guys may suggest. :D

1) Possible Pony Parade 2022 (possibly a theme this year?)
2) Fan-fiction works: wrap up "Golden Rebirth" (Galvatron/Rodimus Prime ongoing universe of stories) and start the next series arc with this pairing.
3) Fan-fiction works: continue on with "Historical Alternatives", possibly concluding it this year (Megatron/Rodimus ongoing series of stories, "The Love of Romance")
4) Fan-fiction works: finish the final chapter of the one-shot "Again and Again" and start this year's one-shot, which will be part of my "Mercenary Alliance" collection--it is tentatively titled "Shine" and will be 3 chapters.
5) Work on some stuff for a mini-fanbook, just in case I get to go to TFCon this year.
6) Try to work on finishing a video game or two--we've got "Pokemon Legends: Arceus" coming out soon--I'd like to play that...........
7) Hash out details and create an open world folder for my Pokemon University series--so that more people can easily access things from this open world universe
8) Work out the details of the new character(s) of my own OCs from the Pokemon University world.
