I got vaccinated again. by TheOtherEliArts2001

So two days ago, on Saturday, I got my second vaccination. Just letting you guys know.

Which means that two weeks from now, once the vaccine settles in, I will be considered fully vaccinated.

Now that doesn't inherently mean that I am immune to COVID-19, as even despite being vaccinated, there is still a chance that I could potentially get infected. I does mean, however, that my chances of getting infected are less likely than before.

On that day, we left that house at around 6:00 PM, and we ended up there at around 7:00 PM, as that was the time of my appointment.

Because we went there later in the day than last time, there were no long lines or huge crowds. There were still people that were going there to be vaccinated, just not as much as the last time.

We didn't have to wait a long time before going into the building where the vaccinations took place, we could just walk inside almost right away.

However, we did have to wait a bit when we got inside. And even when we got to the point where I would sit down by the desk where the nurse (or doctor) would give me the shot, I had to wait a bit with my mom before the shot itself had arrived.

During the period of time that we waited, my mother and the lady who would later give me the shot had engaged in conversation, primarily about how the problems with COVID-19 in the United States, and how so many Americans are refusing to take the vaccination due to all the conspiracy theories and whatnot. And according to my mother, the woman was surprised by what she was being told.

Finally, after a while, me and all the other people who were waiting had finally gotten the shots.

When the injection happened this time, I did feel a little bit more pain, but it was tolerable. However, like before, I didn't feel any immediate symptoms. No headaches or anything like that.

A couple hours after me and my family had gotten home, that was when the pain in the injection site began. It continued on, lasting the entirety of Sunday, which was yesterday.

And on the middle of that day, I actually began experiencing other mild symptoms, such as headaches, my face feeling warm, and a burning sensation in my eyes. Interestingly, those are some of the symptoms I usually get whenever I have a cold. So it's possible those were some of the effects of the vaccine.

Thankfully the symptoms weren't too bad, and I could handle them enough that I could leave my room and walk around the house.

As I am writing this, it is the exact beginning of Tuesday, as I am writing this at midnight (nearly 12:20 AM), and all of my symptoms have since faded from me. I don't even feel pain in my arm anymore. I'm pretty much better.

And on top of that, I have gotten both of my vaccinations, which I very much consider to be an achievement for me. Because that means I will soon have the freedom to go out in public more often, and I now have lesser chances of getting infected with COVID-19.

I still have to wait a while before I'm fully vaccinated, but still. Progress has been made, and I'm glad.

At this point, this is all I feel the need to say. And likewise, should anything new happen, I will write another update about it.

Until then, thank you for reading.

I got vaccinated again.
