🌱 Got my second shot by Uluri

It's been two days after and here comes the experience! I, out of all of my friends group, seemed to have had the least side effects of everyone. The one nurse recommended water and something with a butt ton of electrolytes (pedialyte). And so I sipped between water, gatorade, and the nasty bottle of blue. I peed for two days like every half hour because of it, but I only had a headache and sore arm (tiny bit of skin sensitivity on the sore arm for a few hours). Just for the day after. That was it.

Back to the juices, I dunno if I was lucky I didn't get the chills and full body aches, or if the drinks helped, I was the only one out of my group who was suggested more than just water. :T My toothache from the past caused more discomfort. And today I was pretty much all good to go rumble around.

A lot of people were also recommended Tylenol by their doctors, to take it right after you got the second shot.

Good you didn’t have side effects! :)

Oh, yeah. They always said you can have 1 Tylenol. But like... The side effects star the next day every time. Ours never gave a timeframe.

Really glad they were light. I was super worried about getting the chills. It's one of my least favorite things to have happen to me because it sets off my stupid paranoia garbage every time regardless if I know why I have the chills.

I got the J&J one-shot, and being female—I’m glad I didn’t get those other side effects that were dangerous. I really only just got super-nauseous. I’m not fond of the “feeling like throwing up” sensation.......for over 12 hours straight. XD

It’ll be interesting to see how things go when we all have to get “boosters” near the end of the year, because it looks like the vaccine works for about 6-ish months.

My brother got J&J. He got the chills and extremely sensitive Skin that made soft blankets feel bad, but he was only 2 out of all the work staff that had bad reaction to it. Was a rough few days for em. I got the phizer.

Yeah. I do wonder how that's gonna go. It's already teeth pulling to get folks to vaccinate. I'm sure some thing this is supposed to be a one-time thing. It's only 6 month effective. That's pretty short.

My co-worker got vaccinated at the very same session I did and she got pretty sick. It’s true that this vaccine, no matter which one you get, affects everyone differently. I’ve never really heard consistent responses, other than headaches and fatigue.

Like the J&J one was supposed to also be a little stronger against a couple of the other strains, whereas Moderna and Pfizer were more focused on the first strain. But it had less effectiveness (in the 80% I think?) than the others. Regardless, we’ll all be getting boosters again by winter, along with flu shots. That should be fun. @_@

Litterally everyone I know had different experiences as well. When the folks around me got theres I would ask them to let me know how they felt the next day. Friend with arm soreness for a whole week. Friend with a big fat headache, Another slept for two days straight, someone got a rashy arm for a day. everyone was so different. Headaches being the one big common one.

Another co-worker who got Moderna.....she had the “Covid Rash” on her arm—it was so bad that her doctor had to prescribe some kind of severe allergy medication for her! She tried to endure for 3 days, but it was really bad.

It’s kinda weird how many people had different reactions. It makes you wonder why there really was such variety!
