So, things have been hectic lately. dragon-architect is moving soon, so things have been going on with that. My grandfather's health has been getting worse, so I've been having to not only help him out quite a bit, but also take over some of the house chores, and possibly taking on a bit more soon enough. My uncle has been needing my help with things as well, so even less time to myself.

On top of that, yesterday found me upgrading to the new Fedora Linux version, and my laptop suffered for it. I couldn't use anything external, either through the dock port, or through the built-in USB/video/audio ports. Even the secondary battery was seen as "charging" the main battery, which was a very bad thing. It works on Windows 7, so I'm back on that.

(Aside: I only used Fedora because the Optimus chipset in my laptop works out of the box with it, at least until Pipewire started getting pushed. Most other distros either barely work with it, or drain battery like nothing else. Now, Fedora joins their ranks.)

As a result, I'm trying to redo my entire workflow, since I relied on a lot of custom things that only really work under *nix. I have a VM with Ubuntu Mate on this thing, but I have to have my laptop on the dock for it to run, or it'll drain the batteries really damn quick. So, it's not really the greatest solution, but it's there, and I can use some of the tools where I need to.

Things haven't been working to my favor, and I've literally done nothing in my writing queue since the most recent upload. Maybe once things slow down, I can work on something. Or if I can get lucky and have some time awake at night, maybe I can get something out. I'm remaining hopeful on that front.

(Aside: 3-4 hours of sleep at a time really isn't enough.)
