Of all the sites with designs I can tolerate or with communities that are large enough to get views, I have yet to find one that is good for writing. Let me be clear: for uploading formatted writing, PDFs are really the only viable option.

Of the three sites I am on, only one allows PDF embedding: Eka's Portal (aka Aryion). That site, however, has an extremely suboptimal uploading system that prevents PDFs from being submitted through Postybirb, always screws up my thumbnail upload on the first go, and repeatedly deletes my tags during the data entry process. It also returns an error pretending my submission upload failed every single time, despite a refresh of my gallery showing it successfully submitted.

FurAffinity, meanwhile, has no PDF embed. In addition, the recent site change removed buttons and prevented me from using shortcuts to reformat text easily within the description. This most recent story I submitted, I finally decided not to go through hours of work to retype and format my story (especially since not all of the formatting fun could be kept consistent) and I found my views/favorites/comments to tank catastrophically. This has led me to believe that, despite the larger community, FurAffinity is actually the worst place to upload writing.

This leaves Weasyl. At one point, Weasyl had PDF embeds. It was part of the reason I started uploading on Weasyl at all. However, that functionality was removed a considerable amount of time ago. Description formatting is even more awkward on there, sadly. And I have almost no watchers there. Despite this, they are the one site where I've had positive interactions with the administration and, honestly, are the one I've the most hope for improving.

The astute will notice that my most recent story has my Weasyl link instead of my FA link. It's because, currently, that site is the one I have the most hope towards for actually being a viable writing upload site in the near future. However, I honestly have no idea where a tolerable writing upload site that allows PDFs would be. Any suggestions? Otherwise, I'll continue doing what I'm doing. I don't think I'll return to putting the stories in the description, though...it's infuriatingly annoying a process and it still doesn't gain me nearly enough comments or conversation to be worth it.
