I remember when the first movie came out. Hard to believe it was six years ago. Doesn't feel like it came out that long ago, didn't it? Felt like it came out last year with all the popularity around it. It just seems to never die. Every Halloween, the majority of little girls wearing costumes are either Elsa or Anna. Just crazy. I myself liked the movie a lot. I don't think it's the greatest Disney animated movie ever made. Not by a long shot. Top 15 at least. But, I do think it's a bit overrated. Cue the anger comments. It is a very good movie that took risks, has memorable characters, great songs, and a twist ending not a lot of people didn't see coming. The twist villain was not needed at all. But, overall it's a great movie that is worthy to be a Disney classic. And of course, it made a billion dollars worldwide, so a sequel is inevitable. But, can lightning strike again with Frozen 2?

Not really. It's not a bad sequel, far from it. It's a worthy sequel. The character development was pretty good and most of the songs were pretty good. But, the plot and some of the newer characters weren't not its strongest. The strong points are the animation and the music. Couple of the songs I was ok with, couple others I thought were fantastic, and others were not needed. Kristoff has a full fledge song, thank goodness. But, it came out of nowhere and led to nowhere. In fact I think Kristoff got the shorter end of the stick. Olaf went from charming annoying to a little more annoying with some nihilism. Both of them felt they didn't add much to the story. It's mainly focus on Elsa and Anna, which is where it should be. Kristoff and Olaf weren't much needed at all. In fact, if you edited them out half of the movie, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Some questions were left unanswered and some of the world didn't made much sense. But, I still enjoyed it for what it is. It's a very serviceable sequel and it did its job.

Overall, if you love the first one, you'll definitely like the second one. Worth seeing on the big screen.
