Bats at the Library! by keirajo

Besides being the name of a children's picture book..........WE WILL REALLY HAVE BATS AT THE LIBRARY TONIGHT!!!

My local Library is having a program put on by bat conservationists tonight in just about 2 hours. They will talk about bat conservation, of course--bat legends and bat myths, as well. But they will also be bringing in several fruit bats, with their adorable little faces that make you want to hug them! But they're tiny and you really can't hug them. chuckle

As I understand there will be Egyptian Fruit Bats and African Straw-Colored Fruit Bats. :)

I'm going to take my break later than usual tonight so I can peek in at the bats...........I wonder if I can get pictures of the cute little bats? hmmmm

      It was kinda cool--the kids were bored of the "lecture/learning" part of the program, but very excited to touch and hold the animals! :D

    I haven't been to a library in a loooooong time; I've only associated doing book reports/essays with them thanks to school/college, but they seem really neat nowadays xD

      I know ours is. We try to do a lot of community outreach and children's oriented programs. Not every Library is like that, but we try! XD

    Wow, that sounds amazing!! I love bats so much :) Hope it's a fun time!
