It's been a while since I wrote one of these. Seems any time I do it's usually bad news. I guess I find the whole "no news is good news" philosophy. We'll get the bad stuff out of the way.

As of yesterday I no longer have a job. They gave me some vague "we just feel the values aren't there" excuse. I thought I was on track and doing well, nobody really told me otherwise. I was looking forward to having next week off, I put in for it a month ago. It would have been the first time in my life I would have an extended period off work with no worries, an actual vacation. But it seems I'm not allowed one of those, it's back to the frantic job search for me. Also technically the third time I've lost my job around my birthday. Thanks a lot, universe.

We're going from worst to best here. I had my first ever eye exam today. Never had one my whole life. Over the past few years I've developed kindof a glare in my right eye that gets kinda bad at night when there's lots of small points of light around, they all look smeared and stretched. Well it turns out my right eye is a little farsighted and has astigmatism. Luckily my day sight is still really good so it's not like an emergency to get glasses but I'll need them soon. But without a job it'll be a little hard to scrape up funds to get them.

And I guess the best news is my birthday is coming up next week on the 18th. Not much planned, having a party this Saturday a our apartment pool since we have like 3 birthdays really close together. I'm not expecting much, especially now that we have to save money even more. I'll try and keep this journal updated with the job search, some good news will like nice in here for once.
