Announcing the 4th annual Open Streets TO Furwalk

Where: Meet at the McDonald's by at the SE corner of Bloor and Ossington
When: Sunday, September 15 at 9:30 am - we will suit up and leave at 10:00 am
Walk route: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1RFJFedrdokOmjrol45ItNYpa1Aym4VNE&usp=sharing

Meet at the Ossington McD's as we hit the streets and walk down Bloor and Yonge together.

So long as mother nature cooperates, this should be a fursuit-friendly event.

Notable route stops:
0.0km - Ossington activity hub - Basketball, children's bikes, art installation
0.4km - Christie Pits park - it's a park!
0.5km - Grace/Christie activity hub - sports & puzzles
1.1km - Bathurst activity hub - Rest area, live music, "escape room"
1.8km - Spadina activity hub - Water station, dance workshops, dog walks, first aid training
2.5km - Avenue activity hub - Skateboard park, play-me piano
2.9km - Bay activity hub - Environment education, live music
3.3km - Open Streets Park - it's a busy park! In the middle of the street!
4.2km - Wellesley activity hub - Games, dance workshops and shows
4.9km - Gerrard activty hub - Live music, robot ball toss game
5.6km - Shuter activty hub - Live music, basketball, public consultation

Note that we only have 4 hours until the event ends, so we may not go the entire route, or will skip sections using the TTC to save time and take breaks. The full route is 6 km long.

Getting there:
The TTC, in their infinite wisdom (wisdumb?) is closing part of the subway on the Yonge line north of Bloor, so anyone taking transit from the north should use the Spadina/University line; the meeting location is a short walk from Ossington station on Line 2.
Drivers can park at one of three Green P lots between Ossington and Dufferin.
