I think it’s time I do some catching up. It’s been a while since my last official weekly update

So what has happened since the last time, which was on April 21st, 2 months ago.

Well, nothing?

By passing what I talked about in the previous post, that’s a bit what happens with me. My life isn’t overly exciting, and I don’t hang on to what has happened.

I can tell you I wrong at least 2 hours every day, with possible 3 or 4 exceptions (I’d have to check my spreadsheet to see how many days I didn’t write, yes, I keep track of my writing days, as well as how many words I write each day.) I worked, and… well as a whole that’s it.

I don’t have that exciting of a life, it may look exciting to people outside of it, but from the inside, it feels like it’s the most mundane thing ever. I can objectively say: things have happened, but when I look at them subjectively, I often question if they’re even worth mentioning. It’s why there have been week when this is nothing more than me reciting what happened. It’s also why some weeks look very much like the others, because it’s often the true of them.

What often makes a week worth mentioning are the little, and something big, things that happen between the tedium, but even those I don’t often recall, they get buried under all the tedium I have to do as part of my week, sure they were ‘exciting’ in the moment, but five minutes later I an mot thinking about them anymore, I’m back to driving, figuring out if I’m going to deliver on time, where am I going to park tonight, do I have enough food until I stop for supplies again? What needs to happen in the next chapter I’ll be writing tomorrow. If I’m not thinking about all that, I’m listening to a book, or a podcast.

What I need is a button that I can press the instant the ‘exciting’ thing happened and that will record all my thought about it while I’m busy going back to the tedium.

SO, looking at things objectively, taking away work stuff, what did happen over the last two months?

I finished writing the second draft of Once Broken (Tristan book 6). The File post will have chapters 22 to the end as well as the complete file.

I started working on the first draft of Taking the Line (Inheriting the Line book 3) Chapters 1 to 6 will be on the File post

Tiranis continued to move forward. Going Home: Harland began this month and is 5 parts long. I started on the second draft of Book 5 of LRK’s Origin story, that will be 8 or 9 parts.

The Used Child (Tristan book 3) was published, both in electronic and paper version.

The Old Man’s Gambit is being edited, with a release date aimed at September 15th. There are issues with the cover so I’m crossing my fingers we will be able to make that happen.

As the Result of another writer utterly screwing up how they were supposed to write their main characters. I came up with an alternate universe story to Tristan, where the characters exist on earth, in 2019, so no aliens, no science fiction. While writing the first story, story two and three started forming.

The working Title for the series is ‘Monsters and Bad Men’ It is an action-thriller/romance, with gay explicit sex.

Collision Course is complete and included in the files.

Blind Spot is being works on. And chapters 1 to 10 are included

None writing things I have been doing. I am now leaving reviews for books I read. Yes, I used to not do this because I felt it was hurtful to the writer, but when I explained that on Twitter, it was explained to me, over and over, that reviews are for readers, not writers, and eventually someone explained it in a way that made sense to me.

I am also leaving reviews for movies I watch.
