Heyas everyone,

Time for another update journal.

In short: Last flip property to close in a few days, Roommates, (Commission) debt free, Servers/Sirkain.net restructure, Plans from here.

In long:

Business has been slow on new things to report but we are having one of the two problem child's becoming much less of a problem and more of a profit. Another I manage we are having to walk away from on getting it to work the way we wanted and move the mobile homes elsewhere. As for the Flip property in Baltimore we head up in the afternoon Friday to sign it over then and hopefully next week its 100% done and money can return back to the business to buy more properties with. Been a lot of having to get un-stuck from money crashing in November in the crypto world and immigrating into our homes to try to free up again. So within a month we should be having more it add to the collection to fix up for rent and maybe another flip or two. For ME the flow from the business to pay me has been weak and slow, BUT should be increasing soon.

Roommates – Speaking of increasing cash flow, I have :iconzakrhyno: living here now as a tenant and that has been going well increasing income I get needed for the house bills. If I can secure 1 more if not two then the house is covered to keep itself running and deal with any repairs it needs. Leaving the business income to cover my other issues/needs. Hopefully, things work out that way for me to keep all the machines oiled and running in my life.

Commissions I have barely been having made since August as my income floe basically dried up then. Unfortunately I had a few comic projects going then and on auto-pilot to make new pages and I pay when they are done. A couple needed $ when I ran out prematurely and only until NOW did I get (I believe) all of them paid back. So, as of this journal I BELIEVE I am debt free to artists which is a huge stress off my mind. I can now focus on maybe having a cheaper commission get made now and then to keep my commission itch happy.

Servers and state of sirkain.net. The physical server that has hosted the sirkain.net domain, inflation nation and many others homes is now 12 years old and barely holding together. Its an ASUS 1U server that Dax/ScooterSquirrel helped me build when my other server was barely alive and Gushi screwed me, Side 7 and FurAffinity over on paying for the co location fees of our servers we were paying for. Since then the back plane for the hard drives to hot-swap has failed, the raid card failed and been replaced, 3 power supplies (no longer made I rigged others to do the job with), and lost a few drives in the RAID (got a bag of spares to feed it). Its time to retire it for good. I have 2 “new” servers to handle so much more than that one server did, and will migrate sirkain.net over into a VM (Virtual OS) off one of said newer servers. I am running XCP for the virtual OS hosting/managing and FreeNAS on another server for the storage. I got 2 rack mount UPS’s now. I got a 42U cabinet I got a few years ago everything now is in. Starting to get the horsepower to do a lot for hosting if I ever cared to get back into it on top of file sharing/streaming/torrenting of cartoons videos and related for the fandom. I’m pondering how best to set up the remains of the InflationNation so folks can see and download whatever pics and videos remained of the old site. Going from 2 gigs of ram for sirkain.net’s current server to 96gigs (2-4 servers having 96 on them a piece) at my disposal has made these things possible without affecting security on my other stuff. So we will see how things go on that front on what I revive and what I dont.

As for plans from here? Try to keep battling my focus and motivation with the business, get back into taking flying lessons now that income is flowing again for the business, still hang and develop a relationship with :iconlargo-wolf: and keep on touching up the house. Make it to some cons and see more friends. Maybe doodle again (hahahahaha).
