Alita: Battle Angel - movie review by JohnStripedfur

For over a year, I've been looking forward to this movie. Not that I've read the magna or saw the OVAs because I never heard of it until just last year. It's because when I saw the first trailer for this in a movie theater, I was very much interested in seeing this movie. The visual effects looked great and the whole premise seems very much anime-esque. And I've watched my fair share of anime movies and tv shows that got me intrigued into this movie. Course, it was originally suppose to come out last summer, but was bumped to the holiday season. Then, bumped again to Valentine's Day of this year. And now that it's finally here and available to watch, hopefully the wait has paid off.

And the wait has paid off. I really liked this movie. The visuals were fantastic to look at. Especially on IMAX. The acting was pretty good, the story is straightforward, the worldbuilding was set up nicely, and left me wanting more. The movie was set up much like how any anime movie or tv show was shown. I would say that this is the best adaptation of any anime or magna I had ever seen.

Overall, if you're a fan of anime or like a good worldbuilding sci-fi epic movies. This movie is worth watching. Especially on IMAX or any other enhanced movie screen.
