Good art website alternatives (imo) by KappaSpider

Art fight- A place to store your ocs and possibly receive art of them during the main event! The site is only really active once a year but they have cool activities in their discord you can do in the meantime, it can also be used as a listing if your characters if you want.
Pinterest- It's not the best, and it's full of stolen art.... but! Pinterest is good to put your art on if you're very experienced, as it seems really detailed art gets the most attention.
Instagram- Layout isn't the best but at least the tagging system works. It's not too difficult to get followers either!
Amino- Amino is either terrible or you like it, there's almost no in between. I think it's terrible, but yet I stay. Some aminos have pretty ridiculous posting rules but others are very forgiving, you have to kinda look around. It's easy to get followers too because as soon as you join an amino it lets you follow a few random users, same with likes!
Toyhouse- A character trading and storing site for those with a ton of ocs, you need a password to get in, but it is so very worth it.
Furaffinity- Mainly a furry art website, but you can post pretty much anything! There are entire categories dedicated to nsfw and fetishes, so if you're a nsfw artist, I'd say this is your best choice.
Sketch- This site is mainly populated by children, and there are lots of trolls and art thieves, but once you get past that it's alright. There's a built in collaboration system, art tools, and weekly challenges as well!
Charahub- Not my favorite, but a good alternative to Toyhouse if you can't get a code.

Very nice list! I prefer weasyl to most of those because I do art and weird words, which basically means that either here, FA, AO3, or dream width are the best places. Tumblr used to be cool, but then the December 17th Winter Warrior Fire Nation Attacked.

Yep! I'm relatively new to Weasyl myself, but it's pretty good so far!

Weasyl's a pretty nice set up. I really enjoy that it has a Blacklist feature so that I can block out stuff I really don't like while still being able to have my NSFW button on. It's my favorite part of the site. It also makes me feel more comfortable posting my Gore Art because I would always get notes from FA , DA, anywhere else I was people telling me they're unwatching me over Gore I post sometimes. I shouldn't get notes like that from here. I'd say this would be a #1 site if it had a large community, so I often try to advertise this site.

FurAffinity's really good art site. It might be a furry site, but they fully allow Human artists and human art as well. There is also a much bigger SFW community than what you are giving it credit for as since 2015 75%+ of their content is actually in the General category. It is good place for NSFW artists, though, as the community is very open about nsfw art and great for getting commissions overall. FA is my #1 most recommended art site for any artist. It's really good.

Ah, I'm with you on Amino. I really hate Aminos for their rules. They're sooooo Ehhk. The communities that grow on them are a bit hazardous similar to when I advertise my Art Streams and Randos rush in to spam "Can I have a request?" or such, but like... all the time. I'm using it carefully by heavy watermarking, shrinking my art, and turning the filetype jpeg mostly just to reach out to people more than to main it. It's also not great on seeing people's art in my opinion. once you watch to many people, just like Tumblr, Twitter, or facebook, since new art of folks you watch is a feed rather than a submission notification spot, you will miss a lot of artwork and posts.

I'll drop you Newgrounds and Pixiv. Newgrounds isn't as casual as other art sites as it's very heavy on Improving your work and critiquing. If you aren't up for critiques at all times, Newgrounds might not be fore you, but if you are looking to improve your art then post a few things up there. Pixiv is a Japanese artsite that allows all types of artwork including nsfw, but nsfw art needs the dumb japanese one line censor bar.

Pixiv is really useful if you tend to work with cosplayers or Japanese-speaking clientele, but yeah, they are hosted in Japan and very serious about the art following Japanese law/custom to the letter.

If your looking for a decent amino, I help run the Furry Art amino (not affiliated with the huge Furry amino). Our rules are similar to weasyl's, and we are good at keeping spam and off irrelevant content away. We also don't tolerate any kinds of art theft or begging for free shit. We host regular events and discussions too. ^^'

Ooh nice! I'll be sure to keep that in mind
