Update, Mid-November by KronoGarrett

Eight weeks have passed since I was laid off from...let's keep calling them them Encom, both for the sake of a bad pun and to protect both the innocent and the guilty. The job hunt has been pretty steady, although it feels like most employers are just fishing, half the job openings are echoes, and the numbers are bogus. The paranoid who lives in the broom closet keeps muttering about a blacklist and fretting about an economic recession in turn, but I do my best to ignore them.

Promising leads evaporate with no response. It doesn't make much sense, but that's just how these things are. Dad says his cousin (one of the few other engineers in the extended family) basically had decades of revolving-door career, and they were around back when you could expect some stability and advancement.

The big move is four weeks away, I gave my thirty-days' notice on Tuesday. So much to pack, so many addresses to update, plus a side of downsizing. Such is the nature of checking back in at Hotel Mama. Whee. On the plus side, I'll be able to get Level 2 charging for my car.

Upcoming convention news delayed until next week. Same goes for musing about my status as a dabbler and the unfortunate consequences of such.

My asking price for the giant cuddly Hydralisk plushies is $300, but haggling is allowed. Domestic shipping (Continental US) is free. I do want to move these guys before I move.
