So, it looks like I'll be taking off for next week as well. Why didn't I get anything done this week? Well, here's the thing: I tried to.

See, last Friday (Sept. 28) my grandfather's brother passed away. I live with my grandfather, so I had to help out quite a bit. Said grandfather is the last of 12, so it hit him pretty hard. Yesterday (Oct. 3) was the funeral. My grandfather was so overwhelmed that it sent his heart into a bit of a tizzy and he wasn't doing so good. He's much better today, but yesterday was a bit touchy.

In fact, every day since last Friday was touchy to some degree. As such, I was having to deal with a lot of stress over the whole ordeal, and rarely had the time or chance to work outside of the dead of night. But, because of all the crap happening during the day, I was so over-stressed that I could barely focus on passively watching a video or listening to music, much less working on stories. So I've had practically no chance to work on anything this week.

Today, I'm ordering a used MacBook A1181 (2009 model), and parts for it, so that I can hopefully work away from my desk when needed. My MacBook Air's SSD isn't doing too well, or I'd just use that.

We'll see if I can get rid of both my stress and the insane level of backlog I've got. I'm hoping so.
