Once again into the breach doth the FURCAR drivers descend upon the cornfields of Kansas Speedway.

There was much rejoicing in the FURCAR trailer following qualifying as Oren Hart broke a long-standing record by being the first driver to achieve five FURCAR poles. Beino whipped his way around the track to fill out Row 1, with Zeke and Roxanne lining up just behind them. Also qualifying well was new rookie, Darksteel, who would begin race day in seventh.

Unfortunately, Oren's luck wouldn't last very long and he wound up joining Duroc Hog and rookie Swift Fox--victims of an early mechanical problems--in the garages early on, giving him a finishing position of twenty-ninth. Despite the oil laid down on the track, Beino managed to stay on top after the green flag flew once more and then through the first round of green flag pit stops as well.

Aside from Beino, the rest of the top starters were also having hard days. Between pit road penalties and strategies and minor bumps and bangs which dropped them out of the top ten, those with the faster qualifying times were giving way to those who had started farther back in the field.

As the laps began to wind down, those driving to the front were some of the drivers who had started the day near the back of the field. Silaria and Slidewolf made the charge forward behind K'gra, Cheesebeagle, and Zero. Beino was hard-pressed to keep the veterans behind him. So hard-pressed he missed Chris Furris until the K9 Racing car swooped down on the inside, stealing the inside lane. The green fox put pedal to the metal, but Chris pushed ahead and into the lead with just a couple laps to go. The #85 then managed to block the hell out of the track until the checkered flag flew for the first win of his season and of his career!

Beino in turn captured second, with Zero, Cheesebeagle, and K'gra rounding out the top-5. Belic captured his sixtieth top-10 finish with a sixth place this weekend, and Chance, Slidewolf, Silaria, and Eric added a notch to their top-10 stats as well.

Taking advantage of Zeke and Jo's bad days, Belic slid into the #1 spot atop the season points, with Cheesebeagle making a four-spot leap into second. Zeke and Jo hold third and fourth, respectively, with Mark and Jackie Rae likewise dropping down. K'gra Leopard's first top-5 finish of the season lunged her up five positions to break back into the top-20, as did Slidewolf's seventh-place finish push him up to ninth overall.

Zeke holds onto first in the rookie points race, followed by Jo. Silaria's high finish garnered her a leap into third, followed by Dart Wuffy and Eric.
