Disapointed, any writers(or readers) willing to critique? by Amarune

Ok, so I'm a little disappointed right now. I think a lot of people are using the "Critiques wanted" feature just to keep their work on the front page of the site. Personally I use it because I really do want my work critiqued, it's WHY I post it on here and on DA in the first place.

So I'm wondering, are there any people out there willing to read and critique my work, or am I really just wasting my time since it just gets tossed in the pool and swallowed up among all the other things that are posted for critiques?

If it's not too much to ask, if you're willing to critique my work, any suggestions for improvement would be highly appreciated, it is the reason I post my work after all. I get tired of asking people for suggestions and all i get back from them is "I like it..." or "it's nice" or worse yet, nothing at all...at least tell me WHY you liked or didn't like it please.

Yes, so far commenting in general has been disappointing. I was hoping for more comments and try to comment regularly but NOPE, nobody else is doing it. =I It's like nobody wants to do it anymore. If I were you, I'd find some writers and make friends with them who can help critique your work properly.

The problem with that, at least in the past when I've talked to other authors who I've made friends with, is that their feedback actually seem to become less helpful. I'm not sure if it's just the people I've met, or if others have experienced that too though.

It doesn't have to be a professional critique even, just some honest feedback with more than just "i liked it" or "It was good" would be nice. I'd be happy if people would just tell me honestly tell me if they liked it or not, and give me a reason to go with their opinion.
