Patreon or not Patreon? by Corrsk

Considering nobody read journals, i'll try to make it quick for the two of you who do:

I have been thinking about opening a Patreon.
But, unlike many artists, i don't want to paywall anything. I simply just don't like the idea at all. I don't like that because someone can't spare the money they can't see my work anymore.
And i know it would actually be the smart-business decision to paywall. And i know i could. But i saw so many good artists just "disappear" after they opened a Patreon. I always felt like it was a bit disappointing for peoples who just can't spare the money.

So i was thinking about others things for it, like sketches, previews, and maybe small custom rewards, this sort of things. Maybe even a "First on Patreon".
But the main idea is just: If peoples want to support me, they can. The rest is rewards, not products they pay for.

The question i keep asking myself is: Should i even bother?
Considering peoples won't really get anything from it beside supporting me, i'm pretty sure i'll barely get any peoples onboard. If at all.
But i'll still have obligations toward them and i'm wondering if doing a Patreon that way is worth it for anybody involved.

So i'd like to hear people's opinion about it. Yours, whoever dared to read this:
What do you think? Would you be interested? If not, why? Got suggestions or ideas?

I think it would be cool if skechers is patreon forever and cum variations (an example) of drawings is first on patreon.

Had a couple of peoples saying i could do the First on Patreon, yes.
Though, i quote myself, "i kinda fear i might forget to either just do that, or forget to post it everywhere else after."

But yeah, i'll think about it if i do a Patreon.

      And thanks for the feedback.
