Work has begun in earnest on the Charity Story Commission. This wasn’t a planned project, but I’m 2500 words in and think it’s got a pretty solid start. The real question is if I can keep it interesting or not.

I’ve also made the donation, which made me very happy to do. Thank you, everyone who helped spread the message.

It really... really made me happy to be able to contribute something to charity like that. I hope I helps save at least one person’s life. I really do.

I may do more stuff like this in the future. I’ve been less than enthused to do commissions because writing’s always been a hobby to me. I don’t write regularly and I’m always nervous about delivering quality results to the people paying me money. Doing writing for fun eliminates both of those anxieties. Plus, while it’s nice, I don’t really NEED the money, and I’ve always felt like instead of making people wait for me to get off my duff and work, I should let people give their money to way more reliable, capable authors around here.

All that being said, though... writing for someone else with the proceeds benefitting a good cause...

That would make me happy. I think I could work hard doing that.

We’ll see how this current project goes over first, though.
