The End of 2017 by redfoxj

Today will be the last day of 2017! I have to admit this year has been one of the most exciting years I've had. So many changes, both good and bad.

When I reflect on the art I've done this year, I hate to admit that I hardly did any art. 25 different uploads, not all of them complete pieces. Some sketches. Nothing really noteworthy.

2017, while being a very busy year, gave me little time to do art. With all the stuff I had to do, it was difficult finding motivation to sit down and do more with it. Because I was unsure how much time I would have for art, I decided to cancel my subscription for Photoshop. I want to find a cheaper (maybe a free) alternative to it. But for now, the lack of commissions meant I couldn't afford it anymore. I don't think the quality of art will suffer much without PS. It's all about learning a new software. It's just that I found PS works the best with a tablet on a Mac. Also, I have worked with PS all my life, so adjusting to new software will be tough I guess.

Anyway, until 2018 begins, I cannot promise I'll do more art. If anything, I might have to work a third job and give up on art for another year. But I'm not looking to do that! I hope that 2018 will be a fresh start, a more balanced schedule, and a better time financially. And I will have more time for doing art!

Cheers to the new year!
