portable music player by Orkekum

Hello people of W.

Its me, your master and god.

kidding.

But anyway.

My faithful Creative Zen style

is on its last breaths.

So i would like a portable music player.

With 20 or more hours music playbacktime.

Over 8gb of storage.

Preferably real buttons.

been looking at a sony walkman for 300 euro, it has 32gb of storage. but touchscreen.

Or a apple ipod classic. for about 300 euro. But it has 160GB storage.

But barely what you call buttons.

Reason i prefer buttons is that weather in my.country can be cold, and i want to be able to.change songs with gloves. also change songs.with one press only, not first wake up.device. unlock it and wait before i can do anything.

So people of W. what do you recommend?

Ok, so I guess you are used to a 1.8 inch screen so here is a similar one which is cheap.

It has 20 hours playback time and is expandable with a SDHC card so if you want you can add another 32GB to the player which is quite nice, it also has physical buttons. It only weighs 35 grams and is 10mm thick and it also has a built in FM radio.

If you want to spend more money on something a bit nicer then I'd go with this:

Some people have complained that the software that is supplied for getting music on there is crap, a good alternative is AirDroid or even just putting the music on manually, It states 8GB however 3.5Gb is taken up by the operating system however I think it comes with a microSD card at 8GB's putting usable space at 12GB, you could buy a better microSD card to increase the storage space up to 32GB. Can't comment on battery life but I think you can use this to watch films too as well as buy apps from the Play store. Unfortunately it is a touchscreen but oh well.

What's wrong with that other than no buttons?

It's big, bigger than my phone. That's not really an issue no.

when i listen to music, on a walk for example, i want to be able to without looking at the device just one press switch song, wiht a touchscreen i have to wake it up, unlock and then maybe wait before i can.

But since my other mp3 is slowly dying, i may have to <.<

Been looking at a 160GB ipod classic. for about 300€

Its downsides are if you can call what it has a button, and it uses a harddrive instead of flash based memory. and sound quality ism't greatest.
