Pokemon? by Midnightblut

Anyone out there playing Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon? I've been back tracking to X/Y, Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby, Sun/Moon, and now even the Silver re-release to try and fill some of my Pokedex but have been curious to see who out there plays it and/or wants to talk about the games. I'm not really super hardcore and play the games more casually. I have Discord or can be hit up on Steam but if it's during the day on a weekday (work and all) I may not have time to reply right away.

Does anyone still do pictures of their Characters from the Games with their favorites or teams?

    I play them.
And is quite a good challenge

If it's not too late, I play them. :B I have a few interesting things I could trade, even if you don't want to battle. ^.^

Heya, no it's not really "too late" on those, I still play with my version of Y and Ruby now and again as Y is where I have my mostly complete Pokedex. I'm probably the closest I've ever been to completing one on that one. I haven't done battle matchups since Crystal so I'm really out of the loop when it comes to what might be considered a "good" team.

Heh, I've been playing Ultra Sun mostly, but I have been playing Silver as well- although, that's on an original dot matrix Game Boy I modified with a backlight and better contrast, amongst other things. ^_^; How far are you in Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon? I have a few things that might help, depending on where you are. :B

I picked Ultra Moon back up the other day and just made it to Royal Avenue on Akala Island. The them I have atm isn't too bad. It's been a little bit slow going with other things going on so I'm probably waaaay behing most everyone. Here's my team composition so far for this area.
          Trumbeak 26
          Zorua 26
          Murkrow 27
          Slowpoke 13 (training up)
          Torracat 26
          Noibat 20

Hmm, let me see what I have that could help. :B Looks like you've got a more fast-offensive team, so these might help:

Lucario 27 (with Meteor Mash egg move and its Hidden Ability, Justified. You don't understand how painful it is to get both of those on a Riolu :P)
Torchic 1, I could level it to 28 pretty fast (it has Speed Boost)

...and a few Vulpix with Snow Warning and Moonblast (egg move); Vulpix is version-exclusive to Ultra Sun (and regular Sun), I could also evolve it so you don't need an Ice Stone. All but the Torchic are in Beast Balls, for style points and because it's supposed to hurt. :B Those are what I think could help you now, considering your progress in the game- when you get further, I have 3 shiny Nihilego with their preferred competitive nature and Hidden Power type, as well as a lot of other interesting/hard to get Pokemon, like Hidden ability 'vees (Sylveon is a fun one with Pixilate).

Sorry for my delayed reply, is there anything you want in trade for the Torchic or Vulpix?

              • Link

I will literally take anything. :B I can breed plenty more. I no longer have any Vulpix with Moonblast, but getting one isn't too bad so I could breed you one with it (all I need to do is breed it with a Sylveon that knows Moonblast), although I have plenty with Freeze Dry (a pain to get on them).

To give an overview on how to get a Vulpix with Freeze Dry:

                Catch a Glalie.
                Let it learn Freeze Dry.
Delete all of its other moves.
                Catch a male Smeargle.
Bring the Glalie and Smeargle to Mount Hokulani and encounter a Ditto.
Let the Ditto transform into the Glalie.
                Switch to the Smeargle.
Use Sketch to get Freeze Dry on the Smeargle.
Catch a female Vulpix- SOS chain about 35+ times to get one with Snow Warning.
Breed the Smeargle with the Vulpix.
                Wait for an egg.
                Hatch the egg.
...and now you have a Vulpix with Freeze Dry. :B

But once you have one, just keep breeding the resulting Vulpix to get pretty much as many Vulpix with Freeze Dry as you want. XD
