Quitting Goretober by MapleSmoke

I decided to quit goretober because I wasn't enjoying it anymore. Also, I realized I can't complete and upload something that actually looks good each day. I've learned from the experience but eh, no more gory stuff in the near future. And hopefully, more art of acceptable quality. Thanks for bearing with me.

hey i've stopped inktober because of my wrist. no need to be ashamed or ask us to bear with you! you've had a good run!

and: acceptable quality? are you your worst gatekeeper? who else is complaining at you about it? if it's nobody, watch out for distorted self-depricating thinking. your art isn't the mess you think it is.

a small, loose, quick thing still works. (they capture the gesture and action better than an overworked piece, too!) i don't know what kind of quality you're going for, but one done imperfection in the hand is worth more than two undone perfections in the bush! or in this case, in the gallery.

Thanks for the feedback! I hope your wrist gets better soon.

I haven't heard (or read) any complaints from anyone during my goretober run. I just felt and knew that I hadn't put as much work into my more recent pieces as I usually did. But I'll keep what you've said in mind, since I often go into the 'not good enough' mentality (for better or worse!). Thank you for your kind words :)
