Kingsmen 2: The Golden Circile - movie review by JohnStripedfur

Before I talk about the sequel, I'll talk about the original. At first, I enjoyed the hell out of the first one. It's so over the top fun. It deals with the typical tropes of the old spy movies and makes fun of it while being a legitimate movie. The characters were great and the action was awesome. Though, I thought at first was a one time roller coaster. The type where you know it looks scary, but once you ride it you enjoyed it. And then, you don't want to ride it again because it was that intense. Then, once you ride it a few more times, it grows on you. Which is what the original is. And when the sequel came up, I was looking forward to it.

And the movie delivers what I was expected. It's the same over the top action spy flick we all come to know and love. But, it adds some social commentary on the drug issue as well as the politics behind it. And I thought it did very well. Love the Statesmen they added in on this. Makes me wonder if they'll try that in future sequels. Now, if there's a nitpick, it's that it feels the same. Pretty much suffers what all sequels suffers. More of what made the first one successful. But, I was more intrigued with the social commentary they put in this movie and I think it'll make people think on this subject. An action movie that makes you think? Astonishing. And the president in this movie is what our current president will say and do in this situation. ;)

Overall, if you like Kingsmen: The Secret Service, you'll enjoy The Golden Circle. If you love The Secret Service, you'll love The Golden Circle even more.
