updated the icon to best reflect the BUDDING HARVEST feelings i have about the year!
traditionally this is when the last year ENDS and boy has it been a slow death rattle. boy am i ready! ever since 2017 reared its disgusting maw i've felt like i've been robbed of a decent life! not really, i am very well off, but in terms of effectuality and will, this year has taken the piss out of me real hard. graduating did that too. to be honest, my mind has been in a tizzy ever since the darn election. i feel like i need some healing and sweet sweet cleansing.
i'm excited for the rain.
it rained here for the first time in character since before the summer and it feels so good to be below 75°F !! but our bread went bad real quick so i gotta remember things aren't that dry now the season is changing. we had a couple sparse rains overnight in the summer but it was incredibly dry for over here behind the cascades in the crook of the sound.
what is your favorite part of fall? food? weather? traditions? school? lack of school?
Pan de Muerto http://cdn2.cocinadelirante.com/sites/default/files/images/2016/09/pan-de-muerto.jpg
And much more!
I don't get fall per-se where I live, but the rainy season is dang great. I get to wear my hoodies, and also get all that good hot chocolate and other hot treats that I can't have during the dry season without melting inside and out. :D
