STARTER-- this journal concerns something I will not and cannot post on weasyl anyway, due to weasyl's policies. I'm only placing it here because I don't really have another place to put it.

I figure I should have something stated, somewhere, for whatever that might be worth, with regard to what’s been accused of me, and what’s true. Even though no one uses weasyl, maybe one person will see this and pass it along. Though I know it won’t change anything, really, and that’s fine. I don’t expect much! I mean, people don't like to listen to people accused of scary stuff, which is fair. I'm a stranger to anyone confused about this. Thanks for reading if you do.

There’s a genuine miscommunication about what I’m even accused of, because people are using pretty severe words with severe implications. I’ll own up to the truth and it’s totally fine for people to feel that truth is however severe they do.

I am attracted to cartoon characters! I have always been and always will be. I’ve drawn and will keep drawin’ porn of characters such as the boys from Ed Edd n Eddy, or, Finn from Adventure Time, or Dipper from gravity falls, etc etc. That’s the real truth here—yes I have and do draw porn of characters that are ‘underage’. They’re cartoons, and I’m attracted to cartoons. I've also drawn porn of like, Rick from Rick & Morty, Snufkin from Moomin, characters from Trolls, etc etc (who are 'adults'). I don't know if Hamtaro is a kid or an adult actually. Anyway

I don’t feel it’s truthful to call me a ‘pedophile’ any more than if you called someone who draws Scooby Doo porn a dogfucker. I think someone drawing that finds Scooby Doo, a talking cartoon dog, hot. 'Talking', and 'cartoon', being important modifiers to 'dog'. I wouldn't say someone drawing that practices bestiality or is a zoophile... but I can see how it could make people uneasy, or suspicious.

I’m definitely attracted to cartoon characters voiced and written by adults, who I think are... pretty much as much a 'kid' as Scooby Doo or like..... Jake from Adventure Time..... are 'dogs'. Or Hamtaro is a real hamster. This is my feeling-- you don't have to agree with it. Or, you can understand it, but still feel what I like is not an OK thing to like. Thats ok, that's your feeling. You may feel it's incomparable. I want to be transparent about what I think and feel, here.

It's fine and it’s fair for people to warn others about content that is uncomfortable for some. And you can warn people about that, it’s fair to want to, if you feel it’s severe, and scary. I know this subject is sensitive and upsets many people.

I really only request that ... the truth not be obfuscated... because people get the impression I do something I don’t. I draw cartoon characters fucking. I am not doing anything real. Absolutely everybody in my life, including people who have lived with me for years, can and will corroborate this. I’m... just super into cartoons. Like way into cartoons. Toons toons toons!! I love goofy proportions and noodle arms!!

People are entitled to feel I’m gross and creepy and untrustable or that what I draw is horrible, I can’t argue that feeling away from you, and I have no intention to. I just want to clear up the misconception happening due to the language people are using. And I wish.... I wish people could be a little more clear when 'warning others' about me.

I can’t... stop people from calling me anything. I just hope people don’t think I do something I don’t. It's okay to hate me for what I do like, but some of the accusations read more like trying to mislead people into thinking I do something way. way way infinitely worse ... maybe 'cuz saying "draws on-model ed edd n eddy porn" isn't very exciting!!!! But that's the truth for what it is, however bad you think it is!

And for anyone worried about me at any point, I am seriously surrounded by so many sweet and loving friends, and absolutely none of this internet babble has impacted my friendships or real life in any way, shape or form.... just ah, people who don't know me.
