For a very long time, I've never heard of Newsies. Never knew it was a Disney musical movie made in the early 1990's. And I've heard of all them during that decade. Considering I was a kid of the 90's. And a huge Disney fan. So, that pretty much tells it all. If I never heard of that movie, that means either it's not good or it didn't capture the audience it needed back then. Until recently in the past 5 or so years. It gained popularity and a cult following. And I don't understand why. It even gained a Broadway show and became a huge hit.

Now, I didn't exactly went to Broadway itself and saw the show. It was showing on the big screen in one of the cineplexes. I had nothing else to do, so decided why the hell not. Give this show a shot and see why it's popular. And after I saw it, I can see why. It was a fantastic show. The dancing numbers were excellent and the songs were really well written. The acting is pretty good, too. It actually made me want to watch the movie itself and see how it spawned the Broadway hit and why it created a cult following. And I now want to see the actual play as well.
