tl;dr- Busy with work and social life, ceased Patreon crowdfunding, might open up commishies soon

Hey everybody still following me at this point! Yes, I'm still here, just utterly busy with a whole lot of shenanigans. Honestly, there've been loads of things in my mind and happening all at the same time IRL, which probably explains why I hardly get to make my presence felt nowadays. I just figured I'd post this journal to update everyone on how I'm doing lately.

A lot has happened at work recently. Our department has finally moved into the same compound as our main building, so I'm seeing all my other friends from the other departments more often now. Plus, the location is way closer than our old building, so commuting to and from there is more tolerable than before (still kind of slow, but at least it beats waiting for 30-60 minutes for a ride to arrive at the terminal). I've been given loads of workload as well (just last week, they made me help on a second show, and recently submitted my last scene for one of its episode yesterday; they'll prolly make me help in future episodes, and I'm really game for when it happens). So, if anyone's wondering if I'm still getting food on the table, don't worry because I'm well-sustained with my income.

I've also been busy with my social life! Followers who I've shared stories with over at Discord know that I'm seeing someone, and we've been dating for a few months already. She's just the best any chu would ever dream of - lovely, kind, sweet, funny and hardworking! She's also a writer in a magazine company here in the Philippines (huzzah fellow creative!). I also get to hang out with a lot of studiomates and guildmates over at Tree of Savior, so I'm pretty fair there, too!

These, however, did take a toll on my creative side. Most of the art I've been doing has still been pre-production work for my Cybie and Tykie: Safety Furs Animation Project, and hardly any other art like pin-ups or backgrounds. I do some sketches here and there, but hardly post all of them online (at most, only at Instagram, but then again it's still miniscule to how often I'd post comics on a daily basis). I've been meaning to make new art soon, but with how I'm having some difficulty balancing my time without trade-offs, it's going to take a while.

Also, I've decided to officially end my crowdfunding as a creator over at Patreon, and for good reasons as well. For once, I've stopped making my Cybie and Tykie webcomics, so having the page up would deem insignificant (don't worry, since I never charged patrons ever since I ended the webcomic). Next, I believe my marketing skills would not be the great with what content I currently have. The thing about being a creative who wants to have a stable earning from their work is that they need to have factors for their work that will definitely make others want to support them - aesthetics, story, relatable device to name a few. Though others may say that my characters and drawing style may be unique, with how my Patreon page progressed, it seemed that it wasn't just that attractive to the masses. Then again, my pledge rewards weren't that great as well, despite the research I've done with them beforehand. I haven't fully deactivated my account, though. so should I choose to return to Patreon by some odd means, I most definitely will. Probably when I get to build my audience more.

I haven't been receiving commission notes lately (probably since not everyone is informed that I've been open ever since). There were some who did want to have an art commish done by me, but never got to follow up. Hopefully, I get to make an official announcement via Journal so as to inform everyone about it, but if anybody's interested, do send me a note here or all my other art pages, and let's talk about it from there. ^^
