Woke up this morning to see this:
http://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/adam-west-straight-faced-star-of-tvs-batman-dies-at-88/ar-BBCrzPV
It's sad, but at least it sounds as if his death was peaceful.
No matter what most people may think of the 1966 "Batman" t.v. series...........it was a fun series and in this article, Adam West said it wasn't meant to be anything but fun. (Though if you watch the pilot episode, it's actually got a more serious tone than the overall t.v. series became.) This article had a lot of interesting little tidbits from West, as well as information about him.
I don't think anyone in this world could possibly think of Batman without thinking of Adam West at least once.
Rest in peace, Adam West.
he was such a good actor. he will r.i.p i remember used to watch the old batman when i was younger with my mom and room mate ^^
I watched with my mom in more recent years, being on a retro cable channel. It was kinda fun to rewatch all those things. It was amazing how gracious he was, he never let the fact that he was typecast get to him, as many actors do. He enjoyed the fans and conventions and the genre of comedy. That's important, to do what you love and find a way to love what you do. :)
I never saw the Batman series, but I remember him on Fairly Odd Parents when I was a kid. Sad to hear about him passing :( Have to look into the show now.

May good old Adam West, rest in peace.
Also, he was TRULY the greatest actor, to have ever played Batman!
In memory of Adam West, I shall try to watch the old 1960's Batman series. Hopefully I can find it, on Netflix or Hulu!
