I have these recurring dreams that I'm back in Europe, or on my way there, and my enjoyment is cut short or ruined altogether by the details of travel.

Usually it involves wrangling wayward luggage, digging for boarding passes/passports, worrying if I have time to get to the airport, or being at the airport and stuck in a maze of hallways trying to find the gate.

It's almost never pleasant or enjoyable because of how much effort it takes to get my travel details sorted, which is strange because when I've traveled in the past there was always so much more to it than the business of getting from point A to point B. Why can't I dream of the good things instead?
