Long trip experience: FE + TFF 2017 by pandapaco

I think this journal will be too long to write. Here we go...

After 4 weeks away, I'm finally back home, I can't believe how many experiences I lived during this time. And I know how pissed off many of you would be, if you are one who are interested on a commission or I owed you a paid picture or stickers pack that I haven't finished, or even those who paid me for a sketch at TFF to take home and I haven't started it yet. From tonight I'll start working on all that, sadly I won't be taking commissions from here until I finish all my pendings (including those which are Patreon's rewards)... but I promise I will do my best on each picture and prove that all waiting is worth, because you have a fresh panda full of energy to start again working on drawings, paintings, colorings, illustrations. So let me tell you my experiences:

First experience of the trip: Toronto.

It was my very first time on Canada, and my first impression of it was Toronto, Ontario. I need to say that first impression was completely awesome, I loved Toronto. Perfect weather for me (almost all week was snowing, temperatures of -2 to -7ºC ), the people is really nice, one of the best transit system I've seen, and I met there many good friends who I'll never forget.
Thanks a lot to Dumpling, for picking me up at the airport!!
That mouse (Dumpling) is a really sweet heart!!

I attended to the "Howl", a furry event on Toronto on Spadina Ave. with DJs, fursuits, a really tiny place but with a good atmosphere.

I also was at the ROM, Casa Loma, CN tower, Ripley's aquarium and one of the best experiences: the Toronto's zoo.
It is not that I had never been at a zoo, of course I've been to many, and my favorite one was the Chapultepec's zoo, on Mexico city (even more because is free); but the difference with the Toronto's zoo is the day I decided to go, it was a very snowy and cold day, so it was practically nobody there, it was a private zoo for me, hehe. I could see panda cubs, which was the best experience that day, I had never seen panda cubs in my life. You can see my pictures of that day here:

Niagara falls.

Between the "Howl" and the Casa Loma's day, I took a train to Niagara Falls, to see my good friend Matt (Tiny Deer) and share with him one experience that I'm sure I'll never forget in my life, one of those places I wanted to see since I was a little cub: Niagara falls.
Those were awesome, I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing, and with an awesome company, it was really nice to see that deer person again. I loved that day extremely much.

Furnal Equinox.

The main excuse to visit Toronto: their furry convention.
Thanks a lot to TJ and Zanth for let me stay on their room, it was really nice and fun.
The convention was awesome, I met really nice people, I could sit at the artists alley aside an artist I admire. The hotel was extremely fancy and our room had an incredibly awesome view. I had a lot of fun dancing.
And I participated on the fursuit games, my team won the first place!!
It was nice to be with Nigel, it was his very first furry convention ever.
Furnal Equinox has been the littlest furry convention I've ever attended, but not for that it was really good, I really had a nice time there, especially the last night, the Dead Dog was extremely fun, dancing like if we were little kids, just having fun and acting as dorks, then spending lot of time with some friends before say goodbye.

Dallas: the unexpected trip

It was a last minute decision going to Dallas, my first time on Texas outside an airport (I had been like a thousand of times at the DFW before, but only for stop overs).
I arrived extremely tired the first day and only went out to walk some minutes around downtown but went back to the hotel and died.
I come alive again next morning and went to some museums and tourist attractions on Dallas, as the JFK museum, the science museum and the reunion tower (where I was confused about its entrance and as mistake I arrived to the Hyatt's convention center, where the next TFF will be holded, curiously).
I met my friend Kurtt there, we went to buy some cool stuff to a mall, and went to watch The beauty and the beast, it was the very first time I watch a movie at a cinema on USA. (It is expensive!)

Texas Furry Fiesta

A good thing TFF was a last minute plan, it was that I had no idea who I was going to see there, and I met lots of friends at that convention, it was awesome!! Friends everywhere!! I met many friends I had never seen before and I didn't expect to met them there. Lots of things to do, I could find a place at the artists' alley, where I was on friday and sunday. Very fun dance times, I met many new friends, I saw for very first time a furry competition in live, I did some art trades with artists I admire, and spend time with them. Aaaah that was a huge experience, each minute I was there it was a good time for me.

Ooooh I know that it would be an extremely long journal if I describe each thing I did at TFF, and I would love to mention everyone who I met at that convention, but I know I'll forget someone here, I have all of them in my memory and I know they won't escape from there, fortunately I take photographies of many things and I want to share some of them with everyone who is reading this and are interested to take them a look:

Mexico city

Oh yeah, my trip didn't finish when I went back from Dallas to my country. I went to two concerts, one which was extremely 90s pop, because I love a boy and girl band from those ages and they still offering concerts, their name is Kabah.
Before that concert, I could have the pleasure of meeting a friend and a good artist, Ibra (aka Khazoo).
Then I went to the big city with my friend Marchenko, visited some cool places we already knew but never hurts to visit them again, as Palacio de Bellas Artes, Franz Meyer museum, the cathedral, Coyoacan, we ate the most delicious tacos in this world: Tacos Chupacabras.
And the main reason of the trip: we went with my friend Vook to the Sigur Ros concert, at Auditorio Nacional. It was really awesome and beautiful, each song was a master piece in live, with an incredible visual production, we were impressed of the show.

That was yesterday, April 3rd. This day was my last airport day of this trip, and finally I'm back home. I was missing my house, my bed and my doggo (my bf), next planned trip: BLFC!! If you are attending there on Reno, we'll see you there!! X3

And I promise I'll hurry up with all my pendings, that way I can take new commissions, and probably badges for BLFC and Anthrocon. Not sure yet when I'll open them, be on pending of my journals.

Thanks for reading this!! If you read until here, please take this imaginary bamboo chocolate that I'm leaving on this imaginary table.

I'm so very glad you enjoyed TFF! I know a few of the staff of that con and can confirm they put a lot of work into making the convention as good as possible. Maybe see you at the next one?
