I wasn't exactly a huge fan of the Power Rangers as a kid. I was more of a Ninja Turtles fan anyways. But, I did enjoyed watching it when I was a kid. I was just about the right age when they first showed up. Five people dressed in cool costumes fighting against monsters and giant dinosaur robots fighting against giant monsters. What male kid wouldn't enjoy watching that? Course, I only liked the first two seasons of it. When they started changing actors around and then having other spin off shows, I start to watch them less. I did enjoyed the first movie they did back then. It was cheesy, but fun.

But, after looking back at the episodes. They don't hold up well at all. You can tell the show was cheap and the cheesiness wouldn't last one season if it was released today. Though, it is nice to look back at a time when Power Rangers were once the most popular thing back then.

That being said, the newest movie of them just released today. And after watching this one. It is a nice upgrade. I can tell that this show would've been just like the movie if it had a higher budget. I really enjoyed this movie. There are some pacing issues and it dragged in a couple areas, but overall. It was enjoyable. Especially at the third act when they finally morph and brought out the Zords. It was a huge blast of nostalgia. Back when the Power Rangers were once the coolest things to ever like.

If you were ever a fan of the Power Rangers. You would enjoy it. If you weren't, you would like it as well. Maybe not as much, but just be glad you don't have to know the entire mythos in order to get it.
