So..........the Library I work at began doing passport application processing over a year ago and just last month they began actually taking passport photos. There are numerous reasons............including a massive surge in passport demand, thanks to my state's travel and ID rules. And as a potential for raising revenue when our Library has been losing money from our primary sources...........because our state is in financial trouble as well. So.....passports.
I was shelving in an area near the passport processing desk earlier today when a Librarian was doing some passports and photos. A person she was waiting on was asked to remove her glasses for the photo and the Librarian had to explain it was the law and was for true identification purposes and all such.
This is the nerd thing that went through my brain as I heard this:
So, what if Clark Kent had to go get a passport photo? He'd have to remove his glasses, right? But if he removed his glasses, then won't he be recognized as Superman? Because wearing glasses is what protects him from being compared to Superman........................
XD
Hopefully your Library will be alright. Our Library is technically a historical Carnegie type, I do appreciate them being there even if I'm just using the WiFi or at least paging through a real newspaper.
It gets rough when we're owned by our city, so we're reliant on the City Council to vote on things that affect us. We used to have a Carnegie building, but we had to build a new one, because the 100+ year old building could not have the internal structure modified for wi-fi. Carnegie buildings are beautiful Libraries, that's for sure! :)

Clearly he would just never be able to travel. But since he can fly on his own...
