Best Pens to use? by IndiWolf

Well I do really want to get back into traditional media and I'm looking for different media to use..

I currently use Sharpies but they are only good really for block colouring and I'm looking for pens which I can use to shade and add depth to a badge without it looking streaky like felt tips can do.

I can use paint but I'm looking for something to use at say a con or a meet so very portable hence the pen question lol

Can anyone give me some advice?

Well there are different kinds that are good for different thinks. Like for instence, liquid ink pens like Precise V5 Rolling Ball pens are good for things like quick speed drawing and lineart, but not so much for certain types of shading. Now a good genreal type of pen to use is the gel pens like Big round Stic Grip Fine is good for just about anything from line art to shading, eta. But for things like detail works, you would want to find fine to very or the very finest pens for such things.

Yea, I usually use ballpoints for my lineart/sketch work and Pitt pens for line before colour. I bought myself some copic pens last night (sooo much money >.< ) but I've been recommended them by many other people so I can't wait to try them out, thanks for helping me out though *hugs*
