So, I told myself I wouldn’t mess with the Menu System in Adaptation 21XX again before I got into Alpha, but this past week’s discovery that the game runs on mobile devices ended up changing my mind. I always knew I’d make the system better still, but I didn’t think it was necessary before Alpha came around… but knowing the game could easily run on mobile with a “simple” rewrite, well… why not do it now?

Not to say that other progress isn’t being made, because it is. The entirety of the Prologue and Chapter One have been detailed out as have most of the descriptions in the current Character Creator. It is my hope to at least get to the transformation and the kick-off to the main story by the end of the first Chapter… at least if you’re playing as a human. Mirroids are going to require a bit more build-up, I think, but the main story will still kick off for them too. It’s the TFing that’ll be a bit longer since they aren’t made the same way as humans.

Essentially, the new Menu System will come about because of refinements to the old system… knowledge gained by how that system came out. Additionally, you’ll be able to go into the Option Screen where my multitude of options are set if you have a mobile preference or prefer the Sidebar to the Left or Right… that sort of thing. Knowing better what options I’ll be using later in the game has also helped to focus how I’m rebuilding this stuff.
