I don't have the job... Yet.
The interview was more of an informal meet and greet but I did get filled in a little more on the details.
Basically, I'm lined up to replace someone who may or may not be leaving an opening. I was supposed to have an answer today but will probably know by Wednesday or Thursday. At least that's what I'm told.
The job I take may be full-time or part-time. I indicated my interest in the full-time position. Just figuring in my head, I'd be earning between $1600 and $1800 a month which is substantially more than I'm making now. Not bad for entry-level. The showroom is slick, modern, and air conditioned. Most of the job involves cleaning and detailing. Knowing how to drive a manual transmission is a huge plus (I am a bit out of practice though).
I have yet to discuss important things like advancement opportunities and health insurance. I imagine all of that will come up if and when I've got a conditional offer.
The overall vibe I get is that this one's basically giftwrapped if the guy quits as planned. Still feels surreal how positive this has been.
Thoughts, prayers, and good vibes are much appreciated.
