I hate Tangents, and Scene Comp Nightmares by Kyanbu

Art Tangents will drive you Insane. That and Scene Composition. The absolute bane of an artist's existence. Or at least mines anyway.

All it takes is a few to completely destroy a work if they aren't spun into working. These occur naturally in real life but are often things an artist must learn to avoid when possible. Like any experienced photographer would. As it can distract the viewer from the main focal point of the piece. Or just make things look way more jarring than intended.

Next is scene composition, how a scene is constructed from the object and models to the colors used can determine the mood and message of the image. If this is done poorly, it can really ruin what might be an otherwise well drawn piece. All Elements must be balanced just right to ensure that you've captured the mood you're trying to convey.

Tangents are easy to learn and avoid. Scene composition however is rather hard to explain and learn. And sadly this is what can really make or break an image.

The fact that i may have to redo all of the portraits I've done so far really pisses me off but I may have no choice. These will be used for bios on the official site once the game is farther along in development. the fact That I have to spend another year...!

I'll try to explain more of what I've learn later. I'm still going through shock right now after taking a critique that helped me pinpoint my problems to work on lead to me finding out a very horrifying bit of knowledge when it comes to design that I completely overlooked, much to my embarrassment.

I feel Like DBZA Cell right now
