Perspective - a platformer based on camera angles by charryzarry

Perspective is a free platformer puzzle game, made by a few folks at DigiPen. It has a really cool gimmick and is FREE, so you have no excuse to not try it.

Basic gameplay concept is simple: Your character moves in 2D, can stand on blue blocks, but dies on orange blocks or by touching the edge of the screen. The twist is that the "screen" your character can move around in is controlled by a camera that moves in 3D space. You must lock the camera in place to move your character, who then moves two dimensionally while the camera is locked.

The main gameplay gimmick is well-executed. It paces the levels well, teaching new methods of exploiting the gimmick one at a time without giving you any tooltips. The feeling of "I found out how myself" makes this short game very satisfying. I would much rather have this as a full length game than Braid.

There does not appear to be much in the way of story, but from what I can tell you are a game sprite that has escaped his/her arcade machine...and are trying to escape the arcade. There is no text exposition or dialogue.

It only takes two hours or so to complete, but costs nothing. Get it here and tell me what you think.
