Why..

I don’t particularly like FPSs, I’m a single player kind of dood, I hate competitive stuff, I hate the toxic community it tends to generate, when I do play FPSs I tend to choose the sniper kind because it doesn’t make sense to me to be up close with weapons and I don’t have twitch like reflexes for that sort of games, plus I play them on console (my laptop ain’t really good for pc gaming).

So, why.. why, why, WHY is Junkrat so DAMN FUN TO PLAY WITH?!!

Seriously I got the game yesterday, did the tutorials and a bit of the practice range while the game was installing and did a couple of bot games when I got home from work today. I even haven’t tried all the heroes yet, much less know them or the maps well, but Junkrat.. called out to me really. Gave some of the others a spin as well, Mercy, Lucius (couldn’t for the life of me figure him out), Hanzo (always liked archers for some reason), Widowmaker.. oddly enough I don’t find any of the offensive heroes particularly appealing.

Furthermore two things happened that made me go “Junkrat has chosen me”. The first one was a play of the game, in which the enemy team was coming up to the objective all bunched up and from the top of a car, I activate the ultimate and detonated it catching all of them. Was this significative? No. It was a game against bots and on the easy difficulty of all the things, but it was oh so satisfying!

The second was the very first loot box I opened had the Junkrat play of the game pose in which he fires his grenade towards the screen, it bounces back and hits him in the male gonads. I was like “This is it, this is MY character!” XD

No Junkrat skins yet thought :’(

My goal though, is to find at least one hero in each category that I enjoy playing so I can bring something to table no matter the situation.

Anywho, vidjya gayme aside, currently sketching up some poses trying out some stuff for the next pic. That idea I had mentioned on a previous journal didn’t pan out as well as I thought (read, at all), so I’m sketching about seeing if anything clicks. Would like to do something with trap sonic and tails wearing those frilly, transparent summer dresses like the one I did for Vanilla.

On a side note, the web browser on my tablet must have some sort of memory leak. My tablet battery was draining really fast and when I checked the energy usage it was like 70% for the web browser and 30% for my painting program.
