Pro's
A small subsection of the city was at the disposal of the event, even though things were at a distance, they were reachable in a short span of time.
Because I arrived Thursday and left Monday, I was able to enjoy the event in its entirety without feeling like I was in any sort of rush from direction to another, there was always something for me to do.
The events, from the MFY photoshoot to the Fursuit Parade, were well spaced out, no major rush to do either of them.
Was able to meet up with a lot of friends and faces again and for the first time, and I got to see the better side of folks.
Since I had two footholds in both the Omni and the Courtyard, I was able to help other folks out with being able to attend, while being close to the DLCC and Westin for everything going on.
Con's
Had some bullshit go down between me and the staff over my rough housing with the sword play (might delve into it.)
Got to see some people's true colors (and not in a good way.)
Audio equipment with my camera began to mess up (discovered that it's an actual issue with the camera's audio input itself versus the shotgun mic.)
Was caught between two rooms, which created some complexities.
Revisions
Will either contest the policies of the event (or quite frankly just do my business out of the sight of the staff.)
Appreciate the people that treat me nicely (and distance myself from those that don't.)
I might need to get repairs, or a new camera/camcorder, to compensate for the issues with my Sony A7.
I need to stick with one room and one room only for now on.
Overall, Anthrocon is an amazing event, and if I can get the issue swordplay/rough housing squared out, I could definitely see myself returning when I get the chance; also to note, it seems to be an exception from the entire "on-site hotel only" rule I have in place for myself, it's nice to see exceptions~
I give from my experience with this event, a 4.5/5
