Alright, who all's playing Pokemon Go? by Cowboypunk
Probably half the people out here are playing, and every time I go to the park, every single person there is, me included. It's a pretty amazing game, but I'm starting to see a lot of team hate going around, which is gross. I'm thinking something like an NPC team rocket that occasionally takes over gyms would be a cool way to bring the player teams together and disincentivize aggression/enemy mentalities.
I joined team instinct btw - can't say no to electric type stuff.
I ALSO HAVE A FUN STORY FROM JOINING: like the beginning of basically all games, I kinda rush through the intro parts to get to actually playing. Caught my starter, a bulbasaur, and of course had to give it a dumb name because that's what I do with all pokemon. "whippyboy" was what my brain farted out in the first few seconds, so that what I typed in the prompt.
Execpt it wasn't a prompt to name my freshly caught bulbasaur.
For whatever reason, the game has you name YOURSELF after catching your starter.
So. I am now whippyboy.
I suppose I deserve this.

I wish I was! My phone cant play it. I'd also join instinct, since Im an electric type too.

There's a bunch of people I want to play with who's phones can't play either ;n; mine just BARELY met the requirements, but I couldn't get it from the play store and had to download a different file.

Afraid I can't since I lack a smartphone but it's been fun watching everyone else play it. In the case I get a tablet with compatible OS I'll pick it up, but until then I'm observing with amusement as I'll just content myself with the core games on my DS.
(I'd pick Instinct too, Zapdos was my original favorite legendary)

There's definitely still plenty of pokemon to play without pokemon go :P I never got a DS or anything after, though, so the last generation I played was ruby/sapphire. I imagine all the recent ones are pretty complex and awesome now :o

Goodness that is a long time. I can say for certain that Black/White and especially X/Y are worth it if you wanted to get back into those games before Sun/Moon comes out. Or hell, even the Ruby/Sapphire remakes.

The fact that people are getting so hostile about it kind of baffles me, since we had a whole movie about how bad it was when the legendary birds fought.
Also my phone just barely runs it, but I am clocking some serious outdoor hours, which, as someone who is severely mentally ill and suffers chronic pain, is something I haven't done in a long time. Like... I'm going for multiple 20-50 minute walks per day. I keep going out hoping to hatch my egg.
I'll be joining team mystic, because I want to be on the same team as my housemate/best friend/carer. :3-
I hope the incentive to go out has been kind to you! I'm pretty much a shut-in, too, and feel like all the walking has been good for me.
That is nice, though! None of my friends are on my team and I'm jealous haha-
One of my eggs hatched!! It was just a weedle but I was so excited because it's got a damn cute hatching animation!
Also the servers are down, but I caught so many things before they crashed :D I've got two Gastlys, a Nidoran male and female, and a bunch of other cool stuff so far-
whaaaat two ghastlys?? That's awesome! I keep missing them here, theyre so uncommon. Today one of my eggs hatched just a caterpie, but another hatched a geodude :3c I also learned that you can get your Eevees to evolve into what you want by naming it either Sparky, Rainier or Pyro, and it seemed to work for me today :o!
It seems like usually when there are server errors you can just wait a couple minutes and they're fine again. I feel like all the errors/crashes I get are tied to how many people in the area are playing or something. If no one's around it runs fine for long periods of time, but if it's crowded it won't stay running for more than 30 seconds for me. I dunno if maybe you've seen a trend like that.

For the glory of Valor! I have to agree with you on the team hate, its a bit of a shame. B,ut at least anyone that Ive ran into doesn't truly have any hostility behind their trash talking, its just teasing competitiveness. That being said, I dont doubt that there are people who are taking the game a bit too seriously...
The areas I live in have mainly been Red vs Blue with Yellow trying to hold ground and then getting tag-teamed by the other two, lol. Its like a family feud of the two older siblings always fighting and the youngest trying to get them to stop x3-
