I have been mulling over creating a patreon for along time now, and given that I will be interested in purchasing an adobe create cloud to have authentic adobe programs on my macbook pro for college if my school doesn't offer me the programs for free, I'd basically need a patreon to account for the funds of paying for those programs. I still need to email my professor though, if the programs are offered for free, I might scrap this idea or simply reduce prize offers.

On one hand, I am confident that they would be worth their pay, but on the other hand, its also super daunting because it IS a lot of work, as is the monetary values of the art you can get far exceed what is paid, and knowing that I will be entering a pretty demanding art school, I really don't want to have like 14+ hour work days when factoring in school work and patreon rewards/freelance. So far I will be having fridays off though and want to keep it that way, so perhaps I could manage.... maybe?

I don't know, thoughts? Would anyone actually support me on patreon? I asked twitter and deviantart and the majority of people said no lmao so I am feeling a bit disappointed and heartbroken that people don't seem to like my content enough to want to support me as an artist without having something be 'in it for them'.

I'm just picking at ideas right now, I might end up just scrapping everything altogether and raising commission prices, offering more YCH auctions, and adding a "Buy me a coffee" donation button to my pages or something.
