Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows - the review by JohnStripedfur

Last night. I went to see the new Turtles movie. I actually liked the first rebooted movie. Even though it's not the best Turtles movie, it was still fun. The turtles themselves were the best parts. And I was really excited for the sequel. Mostly because it looks like they've embraced the 1989 animated series. They have Rocksteady, Bebob, a real Shredder, and Krang. This is something the fans had been asking for a very long time. Ever since the first movie back in 1990. I was very much looking forward to this. But, when the reviews came out. Didn't look very favorable.

When I saw it. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best either. I say it's on par with the first one. The turtles are once again the best part. Thank goodness that April O'Neal is used less in this one and we see more Turtles than the last one. Tyler Perry was actually decent as Baxter Stockman. Verne is less as well, but he wasn't the best parts of the movie. The Casey Jones in this version is not like in the original movie either. But, I do like his background. Needs a few changes, though.

Overall. A fun movie. I can see why they never embraced the 1989 animated series from the beginning. Because what worked for the cartoon show. Won't work in a live action movie. Unless it's produced by Michael Bay. Anyways, for anyone who is a huge Turtles fan. You will like this movie just fine.
