If you crop the submission icon down to just the character's head or something, I'm just going to assume that the submission is just an icon and
- ** I won't click on it!!**
Quit cropping your submission icons!
- If you're gonna use a cropped icon, throw some text on that icon that tells me why (like some sort of content warning or something).
- Otherwise you're just shooting yourself in the foot
- because I want to see what I'm clicking on before I click on it
- because why else would I want to click on it?
- I follow tons of artists and I don't look at every submission
- Cropping the icon takes away reasons for me to click on that submission
- Just show me the art and I'll want to look at that art even bigger!!
- Trust me!!
- Keep up the good work!!
OK that's all. Thanks for putting up my my weasyl rant! I love you!

I can understand wanting to tempt people by offering more if they actually click on the thumbnail. But, I agree. Too many times I've clicked on a cropped thumb only cringe from what the whole piece was or misled completely. Most of the time I won't bother to click on cropped thumbs anymore.
