Thanks for following me here! by Meredies
I wanted to just thank everyone for following me here! I really have always loved Weasyl's layout and overall function. Lets make a community here and pull away from relying on Fa. I know it seems unlikely it will happen considering how many times this sort of mass leaving has been attempted, but this time, I find no need to crawl back to fa. It can be a market and that is it, until that market moves elsewhere.
with that said, i am happy to see you all here!

I'm not putting too much stock in people remaining here for too long, but I've been wrong.

honestly this time i just don't care- if people stay here fine, if people stay there ok. my traffic was very low as is there so i figured it couldn't hurt to just move for good.

I also really prefer Weasyl to most of the other websites, and I intend to stay here even if the traffic isn't as high as FA. I've been really happy so far with the layout, colours, and how things are organized (about the only thing I'd like is to add a single image to multiple folders, but that's about it!).
Something about FurryNetwork's design just doesn't jive well with me at all.

Furynetworks layout is so odd to me- the moment i went on to make an account the other day i instantly was turned off by it. I still reserved the meredies handle but likely won't be using it unless they change the design...

I need to check this site more because this sites layout is actually super nice and easy to use. The customization is nice too and you can add the thing where you can have people see your faves on the page or not, and I like being able to make banners (Need to make a new one)
Furry network is nice too, and they have an interesting promotional system. It took a bit for me to get it, but it's pretty nice too.-
i agreeee- Weasyl is really great, only reason Fa is still alive is because the audience grips on there - hopefully someday that will change

i hope so too- it has a lovely layout that really jives with me. It is also reliable and just feels better to me- so here is to hoping traffic can increase here!

beyond the layout is the latent drive to keep improving and provide at least better transparency than before. i agree though if anything now there's a little more modern of an art community online outside of DA and Pixiv and such.

It is just sucks that rn the community all seems divided between Furrynetwork and here- i cannot stomach FNs wonky layout to post there- but seems some like it, and some don't- either way, i am comfortable here for now and Tumblr is my main traffic/audience anyway. Furry sites are most just like a fun little place for me to interact, but no longer my main site/sites

true, there seems little outside of specialized art communities there is no one online place for general visual art. tumblr has been pretty nice for lots of art exposure and hosting
