Well, that's a tough one, because (especially if you're married), you and your partner pretty much "come as a pair", and if you do everything together, then it would be difficult for that friend to interact with you without also encountering your partner. But I understand how it is to like one person and not their partner, as some people end up in bad relationships that they are trapped in (for whatever reason) with a horrible person, so you still want to be there for them without having anything to do with their abuser. But if you're in a good relationship, and you have a friend who is just hating your partner for no good reason, then I would understand if you wanted to distance yourself from that friend because of it. It's a tricky situation that you really have to look at from every angle to know what to do about it, because there are different sides to every story, different reasons for why people think and act they way they do, and every case needs to be assessed on an individual basis.
